Project objective
The design, development, and commissioning of a new automation system for the production lines associated with the client’s technological processes.
Project Description
The solution included the provision of the following services:
-
Electrical design;
-
Software development;
-
Installation and commissioning;
-
Delivery of automation electrical panels, cables, and installation materials.
The production system includes one raw material reception and storage line, along with two mixing and production lines. The entire technological flow—from the raw material storage silos, through the weighing, mixing, and product transport equipment, and ending with the storage bunkers for the finished products—is controlled and supervised by an automation system. This system consists of an operator station running the SCADA application Simatic WinCC, and an industrial PLC controller from the S7-1500 series.
The system architecture is distributed, consisting of 7 adjacent electrical panels, each section equipped with decentralized peripherals of the ET200SP type. These peripherals communicate with the central controller via the Profinet communication protocol. The same Profinet network also integrates the control and monitoring of frequency converters from the Sinamics G120 range, enabling high-precision dosing of each recipe component launched into production.
The automation system includes a reporting module developed using the Simatic WinCC / User Archive package, which enables the storage of each produced batch, thus ensuring rigorous quality control.
